Playing Noxos

All your mental abilities will be tested and new ones will be developed on your journey to solve the eight challenges that Noxos™ maze brings to you. Each one of the eight challenges that a player must solve, has multiple solutions. The walls of the Noxos maze have come to life and you have the chance to explore them. Each challenge can use a different combination of magic creatures to generate multi-solutions. Find them all! Noxos may be played alone, or in a competitive mode with family and friends – who will get the maximum score?

Introductory Story

The legend states, that at the time of the creation of the Noxos tribe, there was a concentric maze, where every new life would initiate its being and find the deserved soul. In this journey, every new life would have to solve eight challenges, and find all their possible solutions inside the maze. The person (or the being, as it is called in the legend) starts always from the center of the maze and has to reach seven magic creatures (a bird of prey, a fish, a wolf, a turtle, a plant, a snake, and a deer) depending on the soul they were trying to acquire. Every magic creature was representing a valuable feature necessary to become an initiated human.

The legend states, that those new beings who found few solutions to the challenges in the maze, deserved to turn into plant, those who found only several solutions, they deserved to turn into an animal, and those who found many solutions to each challenge deserved to turn into an initiated human. However, those who did not find any solution deserved to be turned into rock. Find out by yourself if you deserve to be an initiated human, finding multiple solutions to each challenge, or do you deserve to be turned into rock, in accordance with the legend!

What do you need to accomplish?

The maze design consists of a single pathway that forms four concentric circles, bounded by mobile walls, surrounding the center.

Step 1. Use the 16 tiles in a 4 x 4 arrangement.

Step 2. Rearrange the 16 tiles to perform a concentric maze, seeking for the right pathway that solves one of the eight challenges. Every challenge has multiples solutions.

Step 3. Always starting at the center of the maze, you must solve 8 challenges as follows:

Challenge 1:
You only reach one of the seven magic creatures.

Challenge 2:
You only reach two of the seven magic creatures.

Challenge 3:
You only reach three of the seven magic creatures.

Challenge 4:
You only reach four of the seven magic creatures.

Challenge 5:
You only reach five of the seven magic creatures.

Challenge 6:
You only reach six of the seven magic creatures.

Challenge 7:
You reach all of the seven magic creatures.

Challenge 8:
You do not reach any of the seven magic creatures.

Step 4. Register your solution. Note that each challenge can use a different combination of magic creatures to generate multiple solutions. Find them all!

How you can register your solutions?

In your notebook for registry solutions:

1. Use a row for each solution found.

2. Check mark each magic creature that you can reach starting always from the center of the maze.

3. Add up the total of elements reached on each row and place the total into the column of magic creatures reached.

4. If you have found a solution where none magic creature was reached, starting from the center of the maze, write down zero on the column of magic creatures reached.

5. By looking at the column of magic creatures, you can identify the different solutions for each challenge you have already solved.
